Srinagar, October 15,2025: The much-awaited #SARASMela 2025 concluded in Srinagar, highlighting the creativity and entrepreneurial skills of 150 rural women participants from 13 states across India. The event showcased a wide range of handicrafts, traditional arts, and innovative products crafted by these talented women.
Secretary of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj , Mohammad Aijaz Asad, hailed the event as a resounding success, emphasising that it symbolises unity in diversity while promoting and empowering women entrepreneurs nationwide. He lauded the initiative for providing a platform for rural women to display their talent, gain recognition, and expand their market reach.
The mela played a pivotal role in women empowerment, skill development, and rural entrepreneurship, reinforcing efforts to support self-reliant women-led businesses in India. The event also attracted visitors, government officials, and industry experts, creating opportunities for networking and growth for the participants.
