Srinagar, 22 September 2025: The much-awaited SARAS Ajeevika National Level Fair is all set to take place in Kashmir soon, bringing together artisans, self-help groups, and entrepreneurs from across the country. The fair will showcase a diverse range of handicrafts, handlooms, organic products, and traditional cuisines, offering a vibrant platform for rural women and local producers.
Organised under the aegis of the Ministry of Rural Development and supported by the Jammu & Kashmir Government, the SARAS Ajeevika Fair aims to promote self-reliance, livelihood generation, and women empowerment by connecting rural artisans directly with buyers and markets.
Officials said the event will not only provide a marketplace for local and national SHGs but also strengthen cultural exchange, highlighting the rich traditions of Jammu & Kashmir alongside other states of India.
The upcoming SARAS Ajeevika Fair in Kashmir is expected to draw large participation from visitors and buyers, reaffirming its role as a key platform for rural entrepreneurship, sustainable livelihoods, and socio-economic empowerment.
