Shopian, July 23: A sanction letter distribution ceremony was organized today under the Mission YUVA initiative in Shopian. The event was presided over by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Shri Shishir Gupta, IAS, and aimed at empowering youth by facilitating access to financial assistance for self-employment ventures.
During the ceremony, several sanction letters were handed over to selected beneficiaries under various youth welfare and entrepreneurship schemes. Addressing the gathering, DC Shopian Shri Shishir Gupta emphasised the government’s commitment to youth empowerment through skill development, self-employment, and livelihood opportunities.
He further stated that Mission YUVA is a transformative initiative that plays a critical role in channelizing youth potential towards nation-building. Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the support and appreciated the district administration’s role in enabling a brighter future.
The event was attended by officials from district administration, representatives from line departments, and youth beneficiaries from across Shopian.
