Poonch , Feburary 3,2026: The NITI Aayog has launched Sampoornata Abhiyan 2.0 in the Mankote Aspirational Block of Poonch district, aiming to accelerate holistic community development and promote sustainable livelihood opportunities in the region.
The initiative focuses on achieving scheme saturation, improving socio-economic indicators, and ensuring last-mile delivery of government welfare programmes. Special emphasis is being laid on empowering local communities through targeted interventions in sectors such as health, nutrition, education, agriculture, skill development, and financial inclusion.
Officials said Sampoornata Abhiyan 2.0 seeks to bridge developmental gaps by adopting a convergence-based approach, ensuring effective coordination among line departments and stakeholders. Community participation, data-driven planning, and continuous monitoring form the backbone of the programme.
Local administration highlighted that the launch in Mankote Aspirational Block will help uplift vulnerable sections, strengthen grassroots institutions, and create sustainable livelihood avenues, particularly for youth and women.
The initiative aligns with the Government of India’s vision of inclusive growth and balanced regional development, with aspirational blocks like Mankote receiving focused attention to improve quality of life and development outcomes.
With the rollout of Sampoornata Abhiyan 2.0, Poonch district is expected to witness enhanced service delivery, improved human development indicators, and greater community engagement in the development process.
