A one-day district level Rozgar Mela was held in Kulgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Under the Mission Youth programme, J&K is inviting applications under Spurring Entrepreneurship initiative. In the Rozgar Mela, a pre-counselling session is held where aspirants are taught how to present themselves and how to apply in private companies. We are thankful to the administration for this initiative which will give employment to the unemployed youth, said the attendees. The job fair can help simple graduates or even engineers. Government jobs are not the only solution. Private sector is increasing. Private sectors are developing in Kashmir. After gaining skills if we join companies outside then we can get those companies in Kashmir also. The Department of Employment is organising such events through its centres in Uri district. Outside also we have conducted five drives where we have placed around 168 candidates successfully. The main goal of these events is to provide employment opportunities to educated youth. The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha wants productive engagement for the youth through different initiatives like Mission Youth, where the youth are engaged through self employment. Apart from that, the administration is tapping private sectors where the youth can be placed.
