KULGAM, April 12, 2025 – A Road Safety Awareness Programme was organised at Government Degree College , presided over by Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan . The event aimed to educate students and the community on the importance of adhering to traffic rules and fostering safe driving habits to reduce road accidents.
Addressing the gathering, DC Kulgam Athar Aamir Khan emphasized the critical role of young people in promoting road safety. He urged students to strictly follow traffic regulations, such as wearing helmets, using seat belts, and avoiding speeding or distracted driving. Khan called on them to become ambassadors of safe driving, spreading awareness among peers and families to create a culture of responsible road behavior.
The programme included interactive sessions, demonstrations, and discussions on road safety measures, highlighting the consequences of reckless driving and the importance of compliance with traffic laws.
