Rajouri,December 30,2025-The District Administration Rajouri organised a one-day Rural Livelihood Mission (RLM) workshop at Dak Bungalow, aimed at empowering women and promoting self-reliance through sustainable livelihoods. The workshop brought together women from across the district to showcase government schemes, share experiences, and highlight inspiring stories of women who have successfully turned their skills into income-generating activities.
Officials highlighted the importance of the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) in strengthening economic independence among women through skill development, financial inclusion, and entrepreneurship support. Participants were informed about initiatives related to handicrafts, tailoring, food processing, and other income-generating opportunities, enabling women to become financially independent.
The workshop also encouraged participants to form Self-Help Groups (SHGs), access credit facilities, and expand their small businesses. District officials emphasized that empowering women economically is crucial for inclusive development, fostering confidence and creating new avenues for growth in the district.
The event concluded with an interactive session where participants exchanged ideas, celebrated success stories, and reaffiramed the commitment of the administration to women empowerment and sustainable livelihoods in Rajouri.
