RFID tag introduced for 2022 Amarnath yatra pilgrims/ pony walas for better administration

Lord Shiva Shankar also known as Baba Burfani is the creator of this universe. Shiva bhakts lovingly call him Bhole Baba too. It is said that it is easy to please him and to seek his blessings. CEO of Shri Amarnath Shrine Board, Nitishwar Kumar, stated that it is good news for the pilgrims that this year the arrangements are happening in a full swing. He said that looking at the pilgrims’ registration, it looks like Baba’s blessings will touch many people. This yatra is a mix of spirituality and adventurism. So whoever undertakes this will feel the combination of both experiences. From security point of view and also facilitating ease of travel, this time we have issued an RFID tag. Whether a pilgrim arrives by road, rail or air, upon arrival at the first entry in J&K UT after giving his registration number, will be provided with this RFID tag. Even the pony and pithoo walas will be given RFID tags so that the administration can get details like which yatri is travelling on which pony, location, and other such information at any point of time during the entire yatra for quick responsive action. Shyambir Singh, DC Ganderbal says the whole arrangement is being supervised by J&K LG Manoj Sinha and a time-to-time inspection is being carried out. Eighty percent of the track from Baltal to the holy cave has been restored. Since this is a hilly area, thorough arrangement is being made. This time we have increased the number of tents as well. The locals are excited as the yatra is happening after a gap of two years. We would like to inform everyone that the administration is ready to conduct the holy pilgrimage yatra to the shrine of Lord Shiva Shankar.
