RAMBAN, JAMMU AND KASHMIR, August 11, 2025 – The District Administration Ramban organized a vibrant Tiranga Rally in Banihal on August 11, 2025, as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign to celebrate India’s 79th Independence Day. Led by Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Banihal, Mohammad Naseeb Bajraan, and supported by Additional SP Ramban, Gourav Mahajan, and SDPO Banihal, Nasir Khoja, the rally aimed to instill patriotism and promote national unity across the region.The Tiranga Rally, which began at GMHSS Banihal and proceeded through the main market to Banihal Bazaar, saw enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, NCC cadets, police personnel, PRI members, Beopar Mandal Banihal, and local residents. Participants proudly carried the National Flag, chanting patriotic slogans such as “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” creating an atmosphere of unity and pride.
The rally concluded with the singing of the National Anthem, symbolizing a collective commitment to India’s freedom and integrity.The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative, encourages citizens to hoist the Tricolour at their homes from August 13 to 15, 2025, to honor the sacrifices of freedom fighters. SDM Bajraan urged residents to actively participate by displaying the National Flag and sharing selfies on the HGT portal, emphasizing the campaign’s role in fostering a sense of national pride.
The event also highlighted the youth’s role as torchbearers of India’s future, with students from educational institutions like New Convent School playing a prominent role.Coordinated by the district administration, police, and community organizations, the rally was part of a broader series of patriotic activities across Ramban, including painting competitions, cultural performances, and awareness drives.
