Rajouri,December 17,2025-The Indian Army’s Ace of Spades Division has launched Sadaa-e-Pir Panjal 88.4FM, the first community radio station in Rajouri district, Jammu & Kashmir. The initiative aims to provide a platform for community engagement while broadcasting socially relevant content to local residents.
Officials said the radio station will air programmes focusing on education, health, social awareness, and community development, in addition to highlighting local culture and issues. It is also intended to counter propaganda from Pakistan-based radio channels and strengthen the narrative of peace and unity in the region.
The launch marks a significant step in using radio as a medium of mass communication to connect with remote areas, raise awareness, and foster positive social change. Officials added that interactive programmes will encourage local participation, making the station a true community-driven initiative.
The project reflects the Army’s commitment to community welfare, information dissemination, and creating resilient, informed communities across border districts.
