Srinagar, November 25,2025: Punjab Governor lauded the breathtaking beauty of Kashmir, stating that the region’s serene landscapes and pleasant winter chill are significantly boosting tourist arrivals. Speaking during his visit to the Valley, the Governor said that Kashmir continues to attract travellers from across the country due to its unique winter charm, snow-covered mountains and peaceful ambience.
He noted that the cold weather has become a major draw for visitors, especially those seeking winter experiences such as snowfall, trekking, skiing, and sightseeing at iconic destinations like Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonamarg. Tourism officials briefed the Governor on the ongoing preparations for the peak winter season, including improved hospitality services, safety measures and promotional campaigns.
The Punjab Governor praised the people of Kashmir for their warm hospitality, calling it the region’s greatest strength in building a thriving tourism sector. He added that enhanced connectivity, better infrastructure and renewed interest in winter tourism are expected to make this season one of the most successful in recent years.
Tourism authorities said they are optimistic about record footfall this winter, with hotels reporting high booking rates and adventure tourism witnessing a surge in demand.
