Pulwama farmers make use of Digital Rice Machine to get quality rice

We have installed a digital rice mill machine in Pulwama district in Jammu & Kashmir, says Riyaz Ahmad Dar, Proprietor, Dar Rice Mill. The J&K Khadi and Village Industries Board gave us Rs 20 lakh to set up the machines. Now, workers do not have to lift the dhan sacks on their head and pour it into the machine. They put it on the ground and the machine sucks it up. The machine sifts the waste material like dirt and stones away. The dhan proceeds ahead on the machine and through further sifting dhan husks come out and clean rice of good quality becomes available. The workers are of the opinion that they save a lot of time. The old, traditional machines were cumbersome. Now, customers do not have to do any work. They leave their dhan sacks and after two-three days are informed that rice is ready to be picked up. All the neighbourhood areas bring their dhan here. The Pulwama district is famous for production of rice.

So the beneficiary says, unemployed people should make use of the government schemes in which they get subsidies and avail their benefits. This unit was established in Pulwama in J&K under the government PMEGP scheme, year 2019-20.
