Kashmir,November 18,2025- The Agriculture Department Pulwama, in convergence with JKRLM Shadimarg Pulwama, carried out a seed distribution drive aimed at strengthening rural livelihoods and promoting community-based agriculture. Various high-quality seeds were distributed among Self-Help Group members representing four Village Organisations .
Officials said the initiative is part of an ongoing effort to empower SHG members—particularly women—by providing them access to improved inputs, technical guidance, and opportunities for income generation. The distributed seeds will help enhance crop diversity, support kitchen gardens, and encourage small-scale agri-enterprises at the community level.
The department emphasised that such convergence-driven programmes play a crucial role in sustainable development, encouraging communities to adopt better farming practices and increase household-level productivity.
The collaboration between Agriculture Dept Pulwama and JKRLM Shadimarg is expected to further strengthen local economies, improve self-reliance, and promote community-led agricultural growth in the district.
