Preserving Gandhi’s legacy: A clean and Drug-Free India

Our homes are our sanctuaries, the places where we seek peace and comfort. Naturally, we take the utmost care to keep them clean and welcoming. But our responsibility does not end at our doorstep. A clean home extends to a clean society. When each of us makes cleanliness a priority in our homes, our neighbourhoods, and our communities, we collectively work towards a healthier, cleaner nation. Our message to everyone is this: we must preserve the vision of our beloved Bapuji, Mahatma Gandhi, who dreamt of a self-reliant and clean India. In this spirit, we must all contribute to making Gandhi’s nation truly Swachh. We had the privilege of attending a rally at the town hall, a march focused on two critical themes: *Swachh Bharat Abhiyan* and *Drug-Free India*. As a participant in this rally, we carried a simple yet powerful message: India is our home, and we must do everything in our power to protect and uplift it. The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, a campaign close to our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s heart, is not just about cleanliness; it’s about restoring dignity, promoting health, and inspiring pride in our surroundings. Similarly, the vision of a drug-free India resonates deeply, as it strives to safeguard the future of our youth from the clutches of addiction and substance abuse. By participating in this rally, we joined others in reaffirming our commitment to Gandhi’s ideals and Modi ji’s vision for a clean, drug-free nation. It is a collective effort—a shared dream that can only be realised if every citizen feels the responsibility to contribute, to care for their surroundings, and to look out for the welfare of their fellow countrymen. This is how we honour the legacy of our past leaders and build a brighter future for generations to come. Let us work together to fulfill these dreams—because a clean and drug-free India is not just the vision of our leaders, but the responsibility of every individual who calls this great nation home.
