Preparations underway for Annual Kheer Bhawani Mela in Kashmir

Ganderbal, June 17,2026-Authorities have intensified preparations for the annual Kheer Bhawani Mela, one of the most significant religious festivals for the Kashmiri Pandit community, as devotees from across the country are expected to gather for the sacred event.

Extensive arrangements are being put in place to ensure the smooth conduct of the mela, including improvements in security, sanitation, transportation, medical facilities, drinking water supply, and accommodation for pilgrims. Officials from various departments are working in coordination to provide a safe, comfortable, and spiritually enriching experience for devotees visiting the revered shrine.
