Jammu, April 16, 2026- Poshan Pakhwada 2026 was observed at the Poshan Project Office in Satwari, Jammu, with active participation from officials, field staff, and beneficiaries, including pregnant and lactating women.
The programme was attended by the Mission Director of Mission Poshan as the Chief Guest, highlighting the government’s continued focus on strengthening nutrition and early childhood care.
The event emphasized key aspects such as maternal and child nutrition, early brain development, play-based learning, and the importance of reducing screen time among young children. Experts and officials also stressed the need to enhance community support for Anganwadi centres to ensure holistic development at the grassroots level.
Participants were sensitized about healthy practices, balanced diets, and the critical role of early childhood stimulation in shaping long-term cognitive and physical health outcomes.
The initiative reaffirmed the commitment to improving nutrition indicators and promoting awareness among communities, especially targeting women and children for a healthier future.
