PMAY Scheme Transforms Lives: A Heartwarming Tale of Hope for a Needy Couple in Ganderbal, J&K

I had no support. I have three children. People helped by giving us food and clothes. My husband was ill and bedridden for two years. He was anaemic. We didn’t have anything to pull us through, said a lady in Ganderbal village in Jammu & Kashmir. Then someone told my husband that the government has taken out a scheme and that I should fill the form. Then the well wisher brought the form and it got filled. The wife said she was asked what her income support was and she said that she had none. She said that she had filled out the form in 2010 but nothing had happened. She said that she was very poor. A well wisher told her that a scheme had come under the LG government called the PMAY scheme. She said she did not know what to do. The well-wisher asked for her Aadhar card and photo copy of her pan card. The poor lady was grateful to the man for helping her fill the form and getting things moving for her to have her own house. The well wisher said the lady has now a two-room house of her own to stay and all of us are grateful for this. The poor lady thanked the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha for giving her a roof and said may Allah keep him safe. The lady’s husband also thanked the LG government for giving them a place to live.
