Availing this scheme, a villager in Jammu & Kashmir said, my electricity bill was reduced to around Rs 150 whereas I used to get Rs 1200-Rs 1300. In winters, the bill will come around Rs 400-Rs 500 and post April, there will be no bill, said a resident of Jammu & Kashmir. This is a good scheme for our village as mostly people are poor. They can save on their electricity bill with PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. Narendra Modi sahab has done a great favour for Kashmir, the villager gushed. The Government of India has recently launched the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana scheme. The purpose of this scheme is that people should get electricity at low cost, explained a government official in Jammu & Kashmir. Any person whether a govt employee, a private employee or a businessman or income holder can avail this scheme. The bank provides up to 90-95% loan easily without any guarantee, said the J&K official.
