SRINAGAR, July 23: Thousands of devotees from across the country are reaching Jammu and Kashmir to participate in the sacred Shri Amarnathji Yatra, a revered annual pilgrimage dedicated to Lord Shiva. Held in the holy month of Shravan, the yatra leads pilgrims to the sacred Amarnath cave shrine nestled in the Himalayas, where they seek the divine darshan of the naturally formed ice Shivling.
The Shri Amarnathji Yatra is not just a spiritual trek but a profound journey of faith, devotion, and inner strength. Pilgrims brave challenging terrain and weather conditions with unwavering spirit to offer prayers at one of the holiest shrines in Hinduism.
This year, pilgrims have expressed deep appreciation for the arrangements made by the Jammu and Kashmir administration under the leadership of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha. From well-organized langars (community kitchens) offering free meals to clean sanitation facilities and robust security measures, every aspect of the pilgrimage has been carefully managed to ensure a safe, smooth, and spiritually enriching experience.
Medical camps, resting shelters, and round-the-clock support staff have further contributed to the well-being of yatris, reflecting a collective commitment to upholding the sanctity of the yatra.
With its seamless coordination, the Shri Amarnathji Yatra 2025 stands as a glowing example of devotional tourism, interfaith harmony, and efficient governance in Jammu and Kashmir.
