This is the first time that I have come for the Amarnath yatra. I feel that the arrangements have got better after the Modi government came into power, said one pilgrim. The pithoo and pony walas too follow a system of registration. What is available to eat in big weddings, that is the arrangement provided in Amarnath langars for free. Roads have been built well. Excellent service is being provided by the army. They are helping everyone, said the pilgrim happily. A female yatri said this is her second visit to the Amarnath yatra. This is so good here. I came in 2007. And now the roads have improved so much. It is all the blessings of the Lord, said the devotee. The Baltal road that has been constructed again is now much better paved with lighting arrangements. Earlier it used to slip while walking. The Indian Army has helped us a lot. The administration has given us a lot of facilities. We had good darshan. We did not face any difficulty, said pilgrims in Amarnath. Another female yatri was coming for the yatra for the third time. Describing her experience, she said that at first she felt tired and tearful because of the difficult journey. But after the darshan, she felt her exhaustion go away. Hats off to the army force who are doing sewa, said the devotee. They are standing day and night for the yatris. Whether it is raining or snowing they help us climb the yatra and do darshan by holding our hands. Earlier the yatras did not have so many facilities. The facilities are increasing with every new yatra. Today we have the mobile and net service, we can talk to our close ones. The walking tracks have been lighted up. Earlier we used to carry torches with us. The Amarnath Shrine Board has made a lot of arrangements to facilitate the yatris, the pilgrims said.
