Katra, May 26,2026- As part of the ongoing 100-Day Drug-Free Campaign in Jammu and Kashmir, a unique on-wheel cartoon exhibition was organised in Katra to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drug addiction and promote a healthier society.
The awareness programme was attended by SSP Reasi Mukund Tibrewal as the chief guest. The exhibition featured impactful and thought-provoking cartoons aimed at educating local residents and pilgrims visiting the holy shrine of Vaishno Devi Temple about the social and personal consequences of drug abuse.
The initiative was organised with support from the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Indian Institute of Cartoonists. Through creative visual storytelling, the exhibition sought to engage people of all age groups and encourage collective participation in the fight against narcotics.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Mukund Tibrewal said that Reasi Police has intensified its crackdown on drug trafficking over the past 45 days under the anti-drug campaign launched by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha. He emphasized the importance of public awareness and community cooperation in eliminating the drug menace from society.
Pilgrims and local residents appreciated the innovative awareness drive, saying the use of cartoons made the message easy to understand and impactful. Officials stated that such initiatives are helping strengthen the broader mission of building a drug-free Jammu and Kashmir.
