Jammu, October 18,2025: The National Medical Commission has granted 110 new Postgraduate medical seats to Jammu and Kashmir, of which 44 more seats for Government Medical College Jammu.
The additional seats will boost specialist medical care services, enhance postgraduate training capacity substantially, and create more academic opportunity for medical graduates of the state, officials boasted.
The move is in line with the ongoing interest of the government to improve medical infrastructure, accessibility of health care, and medical excellence for J&K. The move will be aimed towards filling up the deficit of specialist doctors and the quality of patient care in urban and rural areas.
