SRINAGAR, March 28, 2025 – The National Institute of Technology Srinagar hosted a vibrant felicitation ceremony on Thursday, March 27, 2025, to honour the winners and runners-up of the recently concluded inter-campus sports events. Held at the institute’s Community Room, the event celebrated the exceptional achievements of faculty and staff who showcased their athletic prowess, reinforcing NIT Srinagar’s commitment to fostering a culture of sportsmanship and excellence.
The ceremony was graced by Incharge Director Prof. Roohi Naaz and Registrar Prof. Atikur Rehman, who commended the participants for their dedication and competitive spirit. The inter-campus sports events, which included disciplines such as badminton, cricket, and more, saw enthusiastic participation from teaching and non-teaching staff across various departments. In the badminton competition, 11 teams vied for supremacy, with the trio of Dr. Manoj Kumar, Dr. Dinesh Kumar R, and Dr. Sandeep emerging as champions, while Executive Engineer (Civil) Dr. Syed Mohsin Shabir, Mr. Sohail Ahmad Baba secured the runners-up position. The cricket matches also drew praise, with staff teams displaying remarkable skill and enthusiasm.
Prof. Atikur Rehman, Registrar, echoed the sentiment of pride in the participants. “Such events enhance physical well-being and promote strategic thinking.
