Srinagar December 16,2025,Kashmir Valley continues to experience cold night temperatures, with meteorological reports indicating a persistent night chill across the region. Residents reported early morning temperatures fluctuating in various districts, reflecting the typical winter pattern in the Valley.
According to the Meteorological Department, Srinagar recorded a minimum temperature of around 2°C, while other districts such as Anantnag, Kupwara, and Baramulla witnessed similar low temperatures. Daytime temperatures are slightly higher, but the Valley continues to experience chilly mornings and evenings.
Officials have advised residents, especially the elderly and children, to take necessary precautions against the cold. The night chill is expected to continue over the next few days, with possible local variations in temperature across different areas.
The fluctuating temperatures are part of the Valley’s transition into the deeper winter season, with the possibility of fresh snowfall at higher altitudes in the coming days.
