Ramban, September 10: The Health Department Ramban, under the aegis of the National Health Mission (NHM) Jammu and Kashmir, organised Non-Communicable Disease screening activities across various health institutions in the district.
The initiative aimed at early detection and timely management of lifestyle-related diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and cancers. Health workers and medical staff conducted check-ups, counselling sessions, and awareness drives to encourage people to undergo regular health screenings.
Officials highlighted that NCDs pose a growing health challenge, and such screening activities are vital to ensure community health, preventive care, and improved healthcare delivery. Locals appreciated the efforts of the health teams for bringing these services closer to rural populations.
