Poonch, December 29,2025— Young students in Poonch are drawing inspiration from the National Cadet Corps , with many expressing a strong desire to serve the nation.
One student shared, “I want to serve the country. I am an NCC candidate and attended numerous camps, which motivated me. I was inspired to wear that uniform, seeing the Indian Army in these camps.”
The NCC has been instrumental in instilling discipline, patriotism, and leadership skills among youth across Jammu and Kashmir. Regular training camps, adventure activities, and interaction with army personnel expose students to the values of teamwork, resilience, and national service.
Officials noted that initiatives like NCC not only prepare students for future careers in defense and civil services but also strengthen community engagement and social responsibility among the youth.
With growing interest in defense careers and nation-building activities, programs like NCC continue to play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of responsible citizens in Poonch and across J&K.
