Kashmir, 28 November 2025 — Jammu & Kashmir made a remarkable impression at the India International Trade Fair 2025, with its pavilion generating ₹13.50 crore in sales and attracting over 6,000 business leads. The showcase highlighted the Union Territory’s vibrant crafts, agro-products, and rapidly expanding entrepreneurial ecosystem, marking a milestone for Naya Jammu & Kashmir.
The J&K Pavilion featured a diverse range of products, including handicrafts, handlooms, GI-certified saffron, walnuts, Pashmina shawls, papier-mâché items, and other regional specialties. The display not only demonstrated the rich cultural heritage of the region but also reflected its growing potential as a hub for small businesses, startups, and local artisans.
Over 140 exhibitors, including women entrepreneurs, self-help groups (SHGs), and cooperative societies, participated in the fair. Visitors, buyers, and traders from across India were drawn to the pavilion, which became one of the most visited and talked-about attractions at IITF 2025.
According to officials from the Jammu & Kashmir Trade Promotion Organisation (JKTPO), the strong sales and high volume of business leads underscore increasing buyer confidence in the quality, authenticity, and competitiveness of J&K products. Several exhibitors expressed optimism that many leads would convert into long-term partnerships and orders.
A key highlight of the pavilion was its focus on inclusive growth. Women-led enterprises and local artisans shared space with startups and small businesses, showcasing the Union Territory’s commitment to empowering entrepreneurs and promoting gender equality in business.
The success at IITF 2025 has been hailed as a defining moment for Naya Jammu & Kashmir, emphasizing not only economic growth but also the revival of traditional crafts and the integration of modern entrepreneurship.
