Katra, 22 September,2025 : The holy shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi in Katra witnessed a grand beginning of Sharadiya Navratri , with the Bhawan beautifully decorated with flowers to welcome thousands of devotees arriving for darshan and prayers.
On the first day of Navratri, devotees thronged the sacred cave shrine to seek the blessings of Mata Vaishno Devi, chanting devotional hymns and offering prayers with deep reverence. The spiritual atmosphere at the Bhawan was further enhanced by intricate floral arrangements, symbolizing devotion, purity, and festivity.
The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) has made elaborate arrangements to ensure smooth pilgrimage during the nine days of Navratri, including facilities for crowd management, sanitation, security, and uninterrupted services for devotees.
Sharadiya Navratri holds immense significance for devotees, marking nine days of worship dedicated to Maa Durga and her manifestations. The celebrations at Vaishno Devi attract pilgrims from across the country, reinforcing the shrine’s stature as one of India’s most revered spiritual destinations.
