At the inauguration of the 28th National Masters Table Tennis Championships 2022 at SK Indoor Sports Complex in Srinagar, the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha said that every district of J&K today is equipped with a multi-purpose indoor sports hall with all necessary facilities to take care of the needs of sportspersons. We have attained success in establishing this infrastructure under the PMDP, Prime Minister Development Package. He said that over 1000 sportspersons and officials have arrived from 28 states and 8 UTs and from different institutions across the country to participate in the 28th National Masters Table Tennis Championships. The J&K government and Sports Council is going to organise 13 more similar events. He said that there are nine more sports projects that will be completed this year. In the last two-three years, Jammu and Kashmir youth sportspersons have brightened the name of J&K with their feats. He said that because of these competitions, the coming generation of sportspersons will take the banner of J&K higher to national and international levels.
