A National Conference & Exhibition on Emerging Trends in Engineering Technology was organised in Jammu & Kashmir. The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha inaugurating construction of the electrical engineering block said, it is being organised at a time when India has become the fifth largest economy in the world. The goal set by our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is to become the third largest economy in the world in the coming future. How to become a 10 trillion dollar economy from a 5 trillion dollar economy is a question which we all need to ponder over, said the LG. Our importance in the world is rising. The world is recognising the strength of India. LG said the industrial revolution that has happened in the world, we cannot afford to miss the Industry 4.0 revolution. The 2022 list of accomplishments in engineering and technology and their commercial utilisation possibilities are being understood and considered. The conference is like an inter disciplinary forum providing a platform where different areas of engineering, new innovations and new ideas can be discussed by persons in the industry and academia for possibilities and challenges, said the Lt Governor.
