RAMBAN, NOVEMBER 15: A comprehensive training program for Master Volunteers under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan was successfully conducted in District Ramban by the Jammu and Kashmir State Legal Services Authority (JKSLCA), under the aegis of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.
The initiative aims to strengthen the district’s efforts in combating substance abuse and promoting a drug-free society.
The program was held under the overall guidance of Deputy Commissioner Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, and the supervision of District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO) Rahul Gupta. Tehsil Social Welfare Officer Ramban Mohammad Shahbaz and Superintendent CCI Boys, Sameer Ahmed coordinated the event.
Pallavi from JKSLCA briefed the participants on strategies and interventions to tackle substance abuse at the grassroots level. She emphasized the role of Master Volunteers as key agents in spreading awareness, identifying vulnerable individuals, and mobilizing community support for de-addiction efforts.
The training saw enthusiastic participation, equipping volunteers with knowledge, tools, and resources to engage with the community effectively. This initiative marks another milestone in Ramban’s commitment to building a drug-free and healthier society.
