Reasi , October 16,2025- The Municipal Council Reasi organised a special Sanitation and Hygiene activity under the ongoing Poshan Maah initiative at the Government Girls Higher Secondary School Reasi premises and at the MC Reasi community toilet complex.
The event aimed to promote cleanliness , hygiene awareness and women’s health . Activities included community cleaning drives , demonstrations on toilet hygiene , and sessions on the safe disposal of sanitary waste. Students , teachers and local residents actively participated , reinforcing the message of maintaining public hygiene and sustainable waste management practices
Officials from MC Reasi emphasised the importance of personal hygiene , especially for adolescent girls ,and urged the community to adopt clean habits and eco- friendly waste disposal methods to ensure a healthier environment
The initiative under Poshan Maah 2025reflects the governments commitment to Swach Bharat Abhiyaan , public health awareness and community led sanitation efforts in Jammu and Kashmir
