JAMMU, DECEMBER 23: The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra reached Jindrah panchayat of Dansal block today in an elaborate ceremony.
The event was graced by the presence of Member of Parliament Jugal Kishore Sharma, who inaugurated the exhibition stalls set up by various departments and self-help groups. He also interacted with the beneficiaries and the general public and apprised them of the benefits of the schemes.
A large LED screen displayed the message of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the achievements of the central government in various sectors.
The students of Govt Higher Secondary School Jindrah, Govt Middle school Jindrah and other private schools of panchayat Jindrah displayed cultural programs including debate activities and skits with the theme of national integration. The winners were felicitated with prizes by the dignitaries.
The sectoral officers of various departments also spoke on the occasion and spread awareness among the public about the schemes launched by the central government such as Health, PMAY(U), Social Welfare, KCC, Ayushman Bharat Yojana Card, Har Ghar Jal Jeevan Mission, Jan Dhan Yojana, Umeed(Nrlm), PM Vishwakarma, ICDS (Social Welfare), T.S.O, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Cooperative Department, Education and Ujjwala Yojana. Stalls for on-spot registration under Ujjwala yojana and other services were also installed.
A special demonstration of drones for agricultural use was also done to showcase the potential of this technology in precision farming and optimising resource utilisation.
The beneficiaries of Ujjwala Yojana were presented with free LPG gas cylinders by the MP. The Social Welfare Department presented sanction letters to Old Age Pension Scheme beneficiaries. The ICDS Department distributed nutrition kits among the beneficiaries.
On the occasion, Gram Panchayat Jindrah was also declared ODF Plus, the certificate of which was presented by the MP to the Sarpanch.
Block Development Council Chairperson Reena Thapa, Director Fertilizer Anuraj Rohtagi, Tehsildar Dansal Dhruv Gupta, Child Development Project Officer Dansal Ranbireshwar Singh Jamwal, Zonal Incharge Cultural Cell M.K. Bhat, Block Medical Officer Dansal Manzoor Ahmed, Principal Govt Higher Secondary School Jindrah Anuradha Sharma, Teacher Rajesh Jamwal, Sarpanch Jindrah Anil Sharma and Ex PRI members also participated in the event and highlighted the importance of the program.
The event was coordinated by Block Development Officer Dansal Joni Kumar with the help of Rural Development Department staff.
