Jammu, September 11,2025: Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Dr. Rakesh Minhas today handed over loan sanction letters to 72 young entrepreneurs under Mission YUVA at a special event organised at the Zonal Office of J&K Bank.
The programme was attended by Deputy Director DECC, Sunaina Saini, Assistant Director Employment, Mukhlis Ali, senior functionaries of J&K Bank and the aspiring entrepreneurs who have been sanctioned loans under the youth entrepreneurship scheme.
Representatives of J&K Bank, including Rakesh Mangotra, General Manager (RAM & GSS), Ashok Gupta, General Manager and Divisional Head Jammu, Anita Nehru, Deputy General Manager and Zonal Head Jammu, along with Cluster Heads of Jammu Zone, were present on the occasion. They assured full support in timely disbursement and facilitation of the scheme.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Minhas congratulated the beneficiaries and said that the financial support extended under Mission YUVA would open new avenues for self-reliance and growth. He described the scheme as a milestone initiative for youth empowerment and entrepreneurship development in Jammu and Kashmir. The Deputy Commissioner also lauded the Employment Department for effectively implementing the programme at the grassroots level.
Deputy Director Employment, Sunaina Saini, informed that 72 sanction letters were handed over today, while as many as 885 cases have already been approved by the District Level Implementation Committee. She expressed confidence that the initiative will generate more success stories in the coming months.
The event also featured an interactive session where the young beneficiaries shared their entrepreneurial aspirations and expressed gratitude to the government for this transformative initiative.
Mission YUVA is a flagship scheme of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir aimed at promoting youth entrepreneurship, skill development, and employment generation across the Union Territory. The scheme provides financial assistance to both new and existing entrepreneurs to establish and expand their business ventures, with J&K Bank serving as the key financial partner in its implementation.
