Miracle at Pulwama District Hospital: Doctors Save Young Woman’s Life in Critical Emergency A female patient was brought to our Pulwama District hospital in Jammu & Kashmir. She was pulseless and in shock, almost lifeless. Upon diagnosis we discovered a ruptured vein and all blood had accumulated in her stomach. We needed to refer the patient to a bigger hospital but her condition was such that she would not have survived. We decided to treat her in our Pulwama District Hospital. It was Sunday and some staff were on leave so first we mobilised our staff and called them on emergency duty. Our Medical Superintendent Dr Dar personally supervised the procedure. We counselled the family. Taking this challenge we shifted the patient to the operation theatre. Three-and-a-half litre blood came out from her stomach. We transfused 6 pints blood.Now the patient is safe and it is a blessing of God. We are grateful to our team and happy in saving a precious life that too of a young woman.
