In district Poonch in Jammu & Kashmir, the Independence Day celebration on August 15, 2022 was marked by rallies in which not only children but also adults and seniors participated. Every house in Poonch flied the Tricolour with great pride respecting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’. The motto of this campaign was citizens should express their feelings to honour the value and magnificence of our ‘Tiranga’.
On this 75th Independence Day, India looked beautiful decked in millions of Tricolour. To protect the integrity of this Tiranga, innumerable freedom fighters laid down their lives. The very sight of the Tricolour flying in homes during August 13-August 15, 2022, with the government giving permission to the citizens to do so after amending the Flag Code of India 2022, shows that India is strengthening and all Indians must unite to take the nation forward.
