Srinagar , May 23,2026- The ongoing anti-drug campaign in Jammu and Kashmir is witnessing growing public support, with citizens across the Union Territory joining hands to promote a safer, healthier, and drug-free society. From awareness rallies to public outreach programmes, communities are actively participating in the movement against substance abuse under the broader Nasha Mukt J&K initiative.
Led by Manoj Sinha, the campaign has emerged as a strong people-driven movement encouraging youth to stay away from drugs and focus on education, sports, and constructive activities. Officials have stressed that Jammu and Kashmir’s future lies in empowering the younger generation and protecting them from the dangers of narcotics.
Public participation in anti-drug padyatras and awareness drives has significantly increased in recent weeks, with residents, students, women, civil society members, and security agencies collectively voicing support for strict action against drug peddlers and narcotics networks.
Speakers at various events have reiterated that Jammu and Kashmir’s future is bright, drug-free, and full of hope, adding that collective determination and community action are essential to defeating the menace of drugs. The slogan “Together, we draw the line” has become a symbol of unity in the fight against substance abuse across the Union Territory.
