Lt Governor Manoj Sinha emphasises transparent governance and economic growth at ICAI event. In his address LG Manoj Sinha said at Chartered Accountants of India fucnction that due to transparent policies and responsible processes, every citizen of Jammu and Kashmir has prospered, said the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha. The citizens have also got the right to see how government money is spent. And we have succeeded in achieving this goal to a great extent, LG said. ICAI friends will be happy to know that every rupee and the account of profit arising from it remains available in the public domain. And this has strengthened the confidence of the common man and I would say the public towards the administration. In Jammu & Kashmir, the State Taxes Department is making continuous efforts. And efforts are being made to create such an environment in which honest taxpayer while discharging their duties can contribute towards building a self-reliant and developed Jammu and Kashmir. Today’s MoU is a part of the efforts being made in this direction, LG shared. On the basis of the trend of the last three years, it can be said that the efforts being made by the administration will make Jammu and Kashmir’s economy to grow more rapidly in the coming years. And its aim is only one that a big change can be brought in the lives of the people belonging to the weaker and deprived sections of the society, LG said. The GST bill awareness campaign being run by the state tax department under ‘Mera Bill Mera Adhikar’ is being run to inculcate the habit of paying GST bill on every purchase. I would like to congratulate the state taxes department for this campaign, the Lt Governor said.
