Lieutenant Governor Presents Pandit Haridutt Sharma Award to Dr. H.R. Nagendra and Prof. Ashok Chakradhar

New Delhi, November 23, 2024: The prestigious Pandit Haridutt Sharma Award was presented by Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha to two distinguished personalities—Dr. H.R. Nagendra, a renowned Yoga Guru and President of Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana (VYASA), and Prof. Ashok Chakradhar, a prominent author, poet, and painter.

During the ceremony, Shri Sinha praised Dr. Nagendra for his significant contributions to the global promotion of yoga, highlighting his extensive research and dedication to advancing yoga as a tool for health, peace, and social harmony. He also commended Prof. Chakradhar for his literary and artistic contributions, which have greatly enriched India’s cultural landscape.

The Lieutenant Governor, while paying homage to Pandit Haridutt Sharma—a revered journalist, writer, and social worker—called for collective resolutions to work for the betterment of society, particularly the marginalized. He urged the promotion of culture, literature, and yoga, alongside youth empowerment and societal progress.
