On the eve of the 76th Republic Day, the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, addressed the people of the Union Territory, reflecting on the importance of the day and highlighting the region’s progress, achievements, and future aspirations. The region’s young population, according to him, holds immense potential to shape a new future, and initiatives like the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, Startup India, and Digital India are helping to create a sustainable, inclusive economy. He acknowledged the challenges that the region faced over the years and praised the resilience of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He paid tribute to the security forces who have tirelessly worked to maintain peace and stability in the region, as well as the civilians who have contributed to the rebuilding of the society.
