Katra, March 19,2026- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday paid obeisance at the revered Vaishno Devi Temple on the auspicious occasion of Chaitra Navratri.
The Lieutenant Governor visited the holy cave shrine and offered prayers, seeking peace, prosperity, happiness, and well-being for all. The visit comes during the sacred nine-day festival dedicated to Goddess Durga, which draws thousands of devotees from across the country to the shrine every year.
Officials said that the Lieutenant Governor also reviewed arrangements for pilgrims and appreciated the efforts of the shrine administration in ensuring smooth and safe darshan during the festive period.
The Vaishno Devi Temple, located near Katra, is one of the most visited pilgrimage destinations in India, especially during Navratri when spiritual fervor reaches its peak.
Devotees thronged the shrine to participate in prayers and seek blessings during the auspicious occasion. The atmosphere was marked by devotion, chanting of hymns, and religious celebrations.
The Lieutenant Governor prayed for the continued peace, development, and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir and the well-being of its people.
