Baltal, July 10,2026- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday visited the Baltal Base Hospital in Sonamarg, where he interacted with pilgrims undertaking the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026 and reviewed the healthcare and other arrangements for the annual pilgrimage.
During his visit, the Lieutenant Governor met devotees at the base hospital, enquired about their well-being, and wished them a safe and spiritually fulfilling pilgrimage. He also interacted with doctors, medical staff, and officials, appreciating their dedicated efforts in providing round-the-clock healthcare services to the pilgrims.
LG Manoj Sinha conducted a comprehensive review of the facilities at the Baltal base camp, including medical preparedness, emergency response mechanisms, accommodation, sanitation, security, and other essential services to ensure a smooth and safe Yatra.
He directed the officials to maintain the highest standards of pilgrim care and ensure that all necessary facilities remain available throughout the pilgrimage season. The administration continues to work in close coordination with security agencies, healthcare teams, and volunteers to provide a seamless experience for devotees visiting the Holy Cave Shrine of Lord Shiva.
The Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra is progressing smoothly, with thousands of pilgrims arriving daily through the Baltal and Pahalgam routes under comprehensive security and logistical arrangements.
