Pulwama, May 18, 2026- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha will participate in a mega rally under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan in Pulwama district on May 19 as part of the ongoing campaign against drug abuse in Jammu and Kashmir.
The large-scale awareness rally aims to mobilise youth and communities against the growing menace of substance abuse while promoting healthy lifestyles, sports and social responsibility among young people.
Officials said the event is expected to witness participation from students, youth groups, educational institutions, sports organisations, civil society members and various government departments. Participants will carry anti-drug awareness messages and pledge support for a drug-free society.
The rally is being organised under the broader Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, which focuses on awareness, prevention and community participation to tackle drug addiction across the country.
LG Manoj Sinha has repeatedly emphasised the importance of collective efforts in eliminating drug abuse and encouraging youth engagement in positive activities such as education, sports and skill development.
Authorities said the Pulwama rally will further strengthen the anti-drug movement in Jammu and Kashmir and inspire greater public participation in safeguarding youth from substance abuse.
