LG Manoj Sinha to lead anti-drug Padyatra in Budgam today

Budgam, May 5,2026- May Manoj Sinha will lead a major anti-drug padyatra in Budgam today, intensifying the administration’s efforts under the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan to curb substance abuse across the Union Territory.

The padyatra is expected to witness large participation from students, youth, civil society members, and government officials, reflecting a growing collective resolve to combat the drug menace. The initiative aims to raise awareness about the harmful effects of narcotics and mobilise communities to take an active role in prevention and rehabilitation.

Officials said the campaign is not limited to enforcement but focuses equally on awareness, counselling, and rehabilitation, ensuring a comprehensive approach to tackling drug addiction. The padyatra in Budgam is being seen as a strong message that the fight against drugs requires a united effort from all sections of society.
