LG Manoj Sinha: Time to Build the India Bankim Chandra Dreamed of With Courage & Conviction Today marks the closing ceremony of the year-long commemoration of the national song ‘Vande Mataram’, said the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, in his address at the Valedictory function of the first phase of 150th year commemoration of the national song ‘Vande Mataram’.
On 7th November, the Honourable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi ji, while inaugurating the commemoration from Delhi, said that the song ‘Vande Mataram’ not only reminds us how we got our independence but also tells us how to protect it. Since that day, our schools, colleges, other institutions and patriotic citizens of Jammu and Kashmir have organised many programmes in every corner of Jammu and Kashmir to pay homage to Mother Bharati, LG said. And it is a matter of pride for all of us that in the first phase, Jammu and Kashmir is at the first place in ‘Vande Mataram’ event participation in the entire country. Our national history has witnessed the birth of many learned scholars and Vedic great men who have contributed to the age-old rich history of India. And have sacrificed everything to break the shackles of foreign India. I believe that among those personalities, Bankim Chandra Chatterjee was like a shining pole star. His immortal composition, the national song ‘Vande Mataram’, fills our hearts with pride.
। 1।। वंदे मातरम्।।
Through this national song, Bankim Chandra ji had envisioned a progressive, modern, powerful motherland full of knowledge and wealth. And as his true successors, we have to build the India of his dreams. We must rediscover the thoughts and ideals of Bankim Chandra Ji that shaped our freedom struggle.
We have to use them to take the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir forward in the future. We must show the courage, wisdom and conviction that Bankim Chandra ji wanted in building a peaceful and prosperous Jammu and Kashmir, LG added The last five-six years have been very commendable for Jammu and Kashmir. Our economy is also growing at an impressive pace, both in terms of infrastructure and employment opportunities. If we follow the history of Jammu and Kashmir, then certainly the efforts that have been made, whether they are efforts of integration, are now showing impressive progress. We all must come together to take Jammu and Kashmir towards a brighter future and ensure greater prosperity for its citizens, said the Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha. Vande Mataram!
