LG Manoj Sinha Stands with Terror Victim Families in J&K: “You Are My Family Now” There was no one in the world to listen to us, no matter how many governments came and went. No one asked about our pain or asked what happened to your family, said members of terrorist victims. Today, we are very grateful to the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha sahab who took this good initiative. Today, we feel that someone is our own. From 1990 till recently, thousands of Kashmiri civilians have been killed by terrorists at the behest of Pakistan, LG said. Their death just remained like an incident. Under these circumstances, an attempt was made to deliberately suppress them. People did not even come to wipe the tears of the family members on their death. Forget about opening their mouth against Pakistan, even the question of wiping their tears did not arise, LG stated. Will take Pakistan-backed terrorists to their destination for harming such innocent people, thousands of elderly parents, and justice for the brothers and sisters left behind. I don’t need to tell you who is responsible for the brutal killing of the common Kashmiris, you all know, Manoj Sinha said. I was going to Pahalgam on 29th June. On the way I stopped at Anantnag and met such families. One girl said how her father who was an SPO was killed brutally. Her mother begged alms to feed her and yonger sister and to pay their school fees. And those who killed, got government jobs. And it is hard to describe what kind of disorder we lived in, the girl lamented. A meeting was held in Srinagar and broadly three or four decisions were taken, LG informed. We decided they should be given jobs under the law. We said that it will be done within twenty days and the administration has achieved great success by giving appointment letters to the Next of Kins of the victims of terrorism. Regarding Jammu & Kashmir, it may not be visible from outside, but there was such darkness for three decades that on one side the common man was being killed by Pakistanis. The family used to look helplessly for justice. On the other hand, there were traders whose job was to shed tears on the death of terrorists dedicated to Pakistan. Rallies were also taken out here on the encounter of Pakistan dedicated terrorists. People did not like to attend the funeral of a common man who fell victim to Pakistani terrorists, LG narrated. Now, in all districts, registration of families of common people who have become terrorism victims is being done. Assistance will be provided to start a business or doing job. Old cases in which justice was not done will be reinvestigated at a fast pace. I want to assure all the families of those victims of terrorism that the entire administration is with them. I am a member of your family, you are a member of my family. We request all of you to get training to start a job or business in your district as soon as possible and we will try our best to enable you to start a new life, said the Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha.
