LG Manoj Sinha says Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra reflects collective responsibility and shared humanity

Srinagar, July 14,2026- Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha has said that the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra is not merely a spiritual journey for individual salvation but also a profound message of collective responsibility, compassion, and shared humanity.

In a message shared on social media, the Lieutenant Governor wrote that Baba Barfani’s darshan at the holy cave shrine transcends personal spiritual fulfilment, inspiring devotees to embrace values of unity, selfless service, environmental responsibility, and care for fellow pilgrims.

He emphasised that the annual pilgrimage serves as a reminder that faith is strengthened through mutual cooperation and collective efforts. The Yatra, he said, brings together people from diverse regions, communities, and backgrounds, reflecting India’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage while fostering harmony and brotherhood.

The Lieutenant Governor highlighted that the successful conduct of the pilgrimage is made possible through the dedication of security forces, civil administration, healthcare workers, volunteers, service providers, and local residents, whose coordinated efforts ensure the safety and comfort of lakhs of devotees undertaking the sacred journey.

Shri Manoj Sinha’s remarks come as the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026 continues to witness an overwhelming response from pilgrims, with the number of devotees visiting the holy cave shrine crossing 2.75 lakh. The administration has put in place extensive arrangements, including robust security, healthcare, sanitation, accommodation, and transport facilities to ensure a safe and seamless pilgrimage.

The annual Yatra continues to stand as a symbol of unwavering faith, national unity, and the spirit of service, reinforcing the message that devotion is inseparable from compassion, responsibility, and shared humanity.
