Kashmir, December 12,2025: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday paid solemn tributes to Gen Zorawar Singh Ji on his martyrdom day, describing him as one of the greatest military icons whose unparalleled courage, strategic brilliance and unwavering commitment to the nation continue to inspire generations.
Speaking at the commemorative event, LG Sinha said that Gen Zorawar Singh’s life serves as a timeless reminder of “moral clarity, conviction, and dedication to larger ideals.” He emphasised the need for society—especially the youth—to imbibe the values of courage, leadership, discipline and selfless service that the legendary Dogra warrior embodied.
Highlighting the importance of inclusive growth, the Lieutenant Governor stressed, “We must follow his message for moral clarity and unshakeable conviction to shape a better future. Let us dedicate ourselves to empowering the marginalised, strengthening our social fabric, and guiding the youth towards meaningful and constructive roles.”
LG Manoj Sinha also underscored that Gen Zorawar Singh Ji’s vision was not limited to military conquest but extended to fostering unity, shared purpose, and social harmony. “His extraordinary life ignited passion and guided people toward a shared vision, built on courage, purpose and commitment to bigger ideals,” he noted.
Reaffirming the administration’s commitment to equitable development, youth support, and social justice, the LG said Jammu and Kashmir will continue to follow the exemplary path shown by the warrior-general—working to build a more just, peaceful, and progressive society.
Gen Zorawar Singh Ji, often remembered as the “Napoleon of India,” remains a symbol of bravery and strategic genius, and his martyrdom day continues to evoke pride and reverence across the Union Territory.
