Jammu, December 29,2025 — Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday chaired the 3rd University Council Meeting of the Cluster University of Jammu at Lok Bhawan, reviewing key academic, administrative, and developmental matters of the institution.
During the meeting, the Lieutenant Governor emphasised the need to strengthen academic excellence, governance reforms, and student-centric initiatives to enhance the overall quality of higher education. He called for aligning university programmes with national education goals, innovation, and skill-based learning to prepare students for future challenges.
The council discussed issues related to curriculum development, faculty strength, infrastructure upgradation, financial planning, and digital transformation. LG Manoj Sinha underscored the importance of transparency, accountability, and timely implementation of decisions to ensure efficient functioning of the university.
Highlighting the role of universities in nation-building, the Lieutenant Governor urged officials to focus on research, entrepreneurship, and employability-oriented education, while fostering a culture of ethics and social responsibility among students.
Senior officials, members of the University Council, and representatives of the higher education department attended the meeting. The session concluded with directions to expedite pending proposals and ensure continuous improvement in academic standards at the Cluster University of Jammu.
