LG Manoj Sinha joins diverse participants at SKICC for Grand 12th International Yoga Day celebration

Srinagar, June 21,2026- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha joined hundreds of participants from different walks of life at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) in Srinagar to celebrate the 12th International Day of Yoga with enthusiasm and fervour.

The event, organised under the theme of wellness and healthy living, brought together youth, students, government officials, security personnel, and members of civil society to promote the message of physical fitness, mental well-being, and harmony through yoga.

Addressing the gathering, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha highlighted yoga as India’s timeless gift to humanity and emphasized its growing relevance in today’s fast-paced world. He noted that yoga plays a crucial role in reducing stress, improving overall health, and fostering a balanced lifestyle.

Participants performed various yoga asanas and breathing exercises, reflecting the widespread acceptance of yoga as a holistic approach to wellness. The celebration at SKICC showcased Jammu and Kashmir’s commitment to promoting healthy living and preserving India’s rich cultural heritage.

The Lieutenant Governor called upon citizens, especially the younger generation, to embrace yoga as a daily practice and contribute towards building a healthier and stronger society.

The grand event concluded with a collective pledge to adopt yoga as a way of life and spread its message of wellness, peace, and harmony across communities.
